Lucknow: Taking another step towards the cause of Shia-Sunni unity, Iranian cleric Ali Raza Zada Moosvi will be offering Juma prayers at Lucknow's iconic Masjid Teela Shah Peer Mohammad - popularly called Teele wali Masjid - in Lucknow on Friday. The mosque is under Sunni management. The namaz would be led by mosque's Imam Maulana Fazlur Rahman Waizi.
To begin at 1pm, the Iranian Shia cleric will also be accompanied by Maulana Kalbe Sadiq, senior vice president of
All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
Earlier, on Baqrid Shias and Sunnis had offered joint prayers at the Shahnajaf Imambara under a citizen driven initiative. tnn
