Kota: A 17-year-old boy from
Uttar Pradesh hanged from a ceiling fan in his hostel room in Mahaveer Nagar police station area on Sunday evening. The boy had dropped JEE-Mains and had not been attending coaching classes for around a month.
When
Ali Raza, a resident of Shahjahanpur city in Uttar Pradesh, did not open the door of his room on Sunday evening, the caretaker of the hostel informed police, following which cops came and broke the door open and found the boy hanging from a ceiling fan, said sub-inspector at Mahaveer Nagar police station Awadhesh Singh.
The boy had passed 12 class and had made a failed attempt for JEE-Mains and later enrolled himself in a coaching institute in Kota in July last year and started preparing to crack the entrance exam for admission in engineering college, the SI said.
The reason behind extreme step by the student is yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was recovered from his room, he said. TNN
