JEE aspirant from UP kills self in Kota

A 17-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his hostel room in Mahaveer Nagar police station area on Sunday evening. The boy had dropped jeemains and had not been attending coaching classes for around a month. Ali Raza, a resident of Shahjahanpur city in Uttar Pradesh, did not open the door of his room on Sunday evening, and the caretaker of the hostel informed the police. The police came and broke the door open and found the boy hanging from a ceiling fan. Subinspector at Mahaveer Nagar police station Awadhesh Singh said the boy had passed 12 class and had made a failed attempt for jeemains and later enrolled himself in a coaching institute in Kota in July last year. The reason behind the extreme step by the student is yet to be ascertained. No suicide note was recovered from his room.

The boy had passed 12 class and had made a failed attempt for JEE-Mains and later enrolled himself in a coaching institute in Kota in July last year and started preparing to crack the entrance exam for admission in engineering college, the SI said.
The reason behind extreme step by the student is yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was recovered from his room, he said. TNN
