Pernem man travelling to Shirdi for birthday dies in accident

Mapusa: A youth from Nhaibag in Pernem died in an accident while travelling to Shirdi, Maharashtra.
Bhagwan Kaskar, along with his three friends, had stopped along the highway at Satara for dinner. As they were walking towards their vehicle, the driver of a container truck lost control over the vehicle and rammed into an electricity pole and fell on its side. While Kaskar’s friends managed to escape, he came under the truck.
Police said the accident took place around 11.30pm, just before Kaskar’s birthday.
Kaskar was travelling to Shirdi to celebrate his birthday, which was on Sunday.
