CBI arrests Power Grid Corporation's senior general manager Uday Kumar for taking Rs 2.5 lakh bribe from KEC International executive
Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Uday Kumar, a senior general manager at Power Grid Corporation of India, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh from an executive of KEC International. This incident highlights ongoing corruption concerns in major public sector enterprises.

Kumar, stationed in Ajmer, Rajasthan, was arrested on Thursday along with Suman Singh of KEC International in Sikar, where they had allegedly planned to exchange the bribe, officials said.
The FIR names five individuals and KEC International as accused, they added.
Among those listed in the CBI FIR is KEC International's vice-president and North India head, Jabraj Singh.
The company has not issued an immediate response.
