Auto driver attacks woman during robbery bid in Delhi's Pashchim Vihar

A woman in Delhi was attacked and robbed by an auto-rickshaw driver. The accused, identified as Sahil, took her to a secluded area and assaulted her with bricks before fleeing with her money. Police apprehended Sahil after examining over 100 auto-rickshaws operating in the area where the woman boarded his vehicle.

NEW DELHI: A woman was attacked by an auto-rickshaw driver during a robbery in West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar. The accused took her to a secluded spot in his auto and assaulted her with bricks.
The accused was identified as Sahil, a resident of West Patel Nagar. Police received a PCR call about the incident, and a team from the local police station quickly reached the spot.
The woman told the police that after completing her work in Ramesh Nagar, she took an auto-rickshaw to Peeragarhi, and from there, she took another auto to Sultanpuri. The driver then took her to an isolated location and attacked her. He fled with her money.
DCP (outer) Sachin Sharma formed a team under SHO Radhey Shyam. The police examined the details of over 100 auto-rickshaws operating around Peeragarhi Chowk. Following the investigation, they received information about Sahil and apprehended him.
