Pennsylvania election results 2024: Donald Trump wins key swing state Pennsylvania, on verge of victory over Kamala Harris

Former US President Donald Trump emerged victorious in Pennsylvania after two key swing states North Carolina and California, with lead over vice president Kamala Harris in other swing states.
The state witnessed intense campaigning from both contenders, who prioritised it above all other regions.
Trump claimed Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes, reversing the state's previous alignment with Democrat Joe Biden, who had wrested it from Trump's grasp in 2016 whilst reclaiming the "blue wall". Since 1948, Pennsylvania's support has been essential for Democratic presidential victories, with no Democrat securing the presidency without winning this state. Pennsylvania is the “tipping point” that almost ensures his comeback to the Oval Office.

Pennsylvania alone has witnessed over $279 million in broadcast ads by early October, towering over the next highest state, Michigan, by more than $75 million. Both Harris and Trump have consistently centered their efforts here, hoping to reach those elusive undecided voters.
