NEW DELHI: Six people were injured in a violent clash during the immersion procession of a Goddess Kali idol in Cuttack on Sunday night, according to police.
The incident occurred in the Chandnichowk area following an altercation between two groups.
The situation worsened as both groups started throwing stones and bottles at each other. The police reported this on Monday. Additionally, a shop and three motorcycles were vandalized during the clash.
The injured individuals have been admitted to a local hospital. Lalbagh police have registered a case and started an investigation, according to an official.
