Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said, in line with the vision of building a ‘Viksit Bharat', Haryana will be developed into a manufacturing hub in the near future. Over the past decade, the state has emerged as one of India's most progressive industrial power centres, thanks to its industry-friendly and labour-centric policies, he said.
The CM said this while addressing a post-budget meeting with representatives of the industry at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Manesar. Saini wished the representatives of the industry from across the state on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreams of a developed India in the year 2047. To fulfil this resolution, the budget of the department of industry and commerce has seen 129% increase to over Rs 1,848 crore in this year's budget. He said suggestions from representatives of the industry, especially construction, textile, startup, etc., were also included in this year's budget. The representatives of the industry who attended the meeting also thanked the CM for including their suggestions in the budget.
The CM said to make the industrial policy more business-friendly, the govt made a provision in the current budget for the new industrial policy and simplification of Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HSIIDC) estate management procedures. The CM said on the lines of IMT Kharkhoda, 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) will be developed in Haryana, for which the demand for land will be registered by HSIIDC on the e-Bhoomi portal.
Industry and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh welcomed the CM on his arrival in Gurugram and said under his leadership, the industry of the state will progress rapidly. He informed that tenders for roads, sewerage, and cleanliness etc. were issued in all the industrial estate areas of the state. Work on this demand of industrial organisations will start within the next three months and it will be completed within six months. He said a new policy is also being prepared to promote industries under which new industrial areas will be opened.
