CM distributes appt letters to 812 new employees
Bhubaneswar: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 812 newly-recruited govt employees across five departments during a Nijukti Mela here. The appointments includes 442 AYUSH assistants in the health department, 98 positions in the agriculture department, 48 management trainees in the power department, 26 positions in the water resources department, and 198 positions in the steel and mines department.
Addressing the new appointees, Majhi emphasised the govt's commitment to filling vacant positions, stating, "We aim to provide 65,000 appointments in the first two years and 1,50,000 appointments in the govt sector within five years." He noted that over 25,000 appointments were already made through eight recruitment fairs in the past nine months.
He also announced several healthcare initiatives, including establishment of three integrated AYUSH hospitals in Dhenkanal, Berhamapur, and Balasore. "Our goal is to establish AYUSH health centres in every panchayat of the state, with a budget provision of Rs 500 crores this year," he added.
The event was attended by health minister Mukesh Mahaling, steel and mines minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, and chief secretary Manoj Ahuja. The newly-appointed officers expressed gratitude for the transparent recruitment process. He asked the appointees to work as public servants, emphasising that their primary duty is to serve people and maintain public trust through their actions and decisions.
