TIRUPATI: Women folk from different colonies poured in their grievances in different before the ruling party legislator and former minister Shankar Narayana during the latter's door to door campaign as part of the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam organized at Penukonda at Sri Sathya Sai district on Saturday.
A woman identified as Lalitha Bai, a resident of Settipalli village in Penukonda mandal told the minister that her pension disbursement was stopped about 11 months ago and neither the officials nor the ruling party local leaders could resolve her grievance at all.
On a similar note, another resident Padma Bai of the same locality told the MLA that her name was not included in the beneficiaries list of the Jagananna housing scheme despite running from pillar to post.
Other women in the same village and the neighbouring villages complained that they were not receiving pension and other assistances from the state government welfare schemes.
Some women vented their ire against the MLA for not trying to resolve their grievances despite making several representations.
