Jealous woman bobbitises husband

Ahmedabad: It is a love story gone awry. A 29-year-old woman, Kailash Makwana, bobbitised her 23-year-old husband Kanuji Makwana because she feared he would leave her for a younger woman.
Burning with jealousy, Kailash bobbitised Kanuji with a kitchen knife on Sunday night. Kanuji was rushed to the Civil Hospital where doctors performed plastic surgery on him but without the private part, which was not found.
Kailash has been arrested by Amraiwadi police.According to investigators, Kanuji was tied to a bed and attacked. He was made unconscious before being bobbitised. Cops, however, have not been able to find his missing private part.
Kailash told cops that she served Kanuji tea laced with sedatives after on Sunday. As soon as he fell unconscious, she chopped off his penis. She then locked him up and left the house.
"Kanuji and Kailash met at Odhav in 2006 while working for different industrial units. Soon afterwards Kailash abandoned her husband who was suffering from TB and three children," said MB Patel, inspector of Amraiwadi police station.
The couple then got married at a temple in Ahmedabad and took a house on rent in Rabari Colony six months ago. But soon Kailash suspected Kanuji of planning to leave her. Kanuji was younger and had started another affair with a 20-year-old girl, Vaneeta. He abandoned Kailash early in 2008 but she coaxed him to return.
"Kanuji told us that on Sunday they had quarrelled over Kailash's gold jewellery which he had mortgaged. She wanted it back but he wanted to clear some debts. However, Kailash claimed that Kanuji wanted to desert her for Vaneeta," said Patel.
