DDCET provisional answer key released, 35 students submit objections
Ahmedabad: Just weeks after 19,391 diploma engineering students (96% of registered candidates) appeared for the diploma to degree common entrance test (DDCET) on April 19, the process of finalising results is underway. Following the release of the provisional answer key, around 35 students have raised objections. Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will now review these suggestions, with the final answer key and results anticipated in the first week of May.
Following the exam, the admission committee released the provisional answer key. Students who had objections or suggestions regarding the provided answers were instructed to submit them by April 24. Sources indicate that approximately 35 students submitted objections, claiming errors or discrepancies in some of the answers or options listed.
Last year, a similar situation arose, and before the final results were declared, the committee awarded additional marks to students based on valid objections. This year, the suggestions submitted by students will soon be presented before the authorities of Gujarat Technological University (GTU), which conducted the exam.
If the objections are found to be valid and corrections are necessary, the final answer key and results are expected to be announced in the first week of May. The authorities will also disclose the number of accepted objections at that time.
It is noteworthy that while approximately 46,000 seats are available, only 19,391 students appeared for the entrance test this year. Once the results are declared, the schedule for the admission process will be announced accordingly.
