The comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has recently faced considerable criticism. Many viewers believe that because certain old cast members have departed the show, the stories and humour are less impactful than in previous episodes. The latest subplot, involving the separation of Tapu (Nitish Bhaluni) and Sonu (Khushi Mali), has left netizens extremely sad. They have been criticising the creators for purportedly compromising the core of the show with the current storyline.
Speaking of this, the current storyline on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah depicts Sonu becoming engaged to someone else. Tapu becomes distressed after hearing this. He then follows her as she exits in a car with her fiance. However, commenters are unimpressed with the overblown plotline and acting. One of the netizens commented, "Biggest Downfall Ever."
