Kourtney Kardashian has put an end to widespread speculation that her 15-year-old son, Mason Disick has secretly become a father. Addressing the viral rumors circulating online, the reality star took to Instagram to firmly deny the claims emphasizing that the allegations were entirely false.
On Sunday, the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' alum, 45 expressed her frustration over the fabricated stories, stating that while she usually refrains from engaging with baseless gossip, this situation directly involved her child, making it impossible to ignore.
“I don’t often respond to rumors or conspiracy theories about myself or my family, but this one is about my son, and it feels incredibly wrong to let anyone believe it for even a second. These claims are completely untrue,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
Kardashian further stressed that Mason does not have a child and called out the fake social media accounts falsely claiming to be him. She urged the public and media outlets to respect her son’s privacy, reminding everyone that he is still a minor with a promising future ahead of him.
“My son values his privacy deeply and I kindly ask all media platforms to be considerate. He is just a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him,” she continued.
She also made a direct plea to those creating content about her children, stating, “To all those making videos about my kids—who are minors, by the way—please stop. Leave them alone.”
The controversy erupted when screenshots from alleged accounts claiming to belong to Mason surfaced on Reddit. The accounts, under names like 'masonddsh' and 'masonsecrety,' responded to questions about a supposed child named Piper. One exchange included a follower asking for a picture of the alleged baby to which the account posted photos of an infant.
Another message allegedly stated, “Piper doesn’t count. I was forced to do that, so it’s not my fault she was created.” The posts ignited intense discussions online with some users believing the claims while others dismissed them as a prank or fabricated drama.
Reddit users noted that the original post containing the screenshots was quickly deleted, leading some to speculate that the Kardashian family had intervened to remove the content from the internet. However, many pointed out that the accounts in question seemed inauthentic and likely intended to spread misinformation.
Mason, the eldest son of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick has largely stayed out of the limelight compared to his famous family members. He moved in with his father two years ago and Disick has spoken openly about guiding him through teenage life, particularly when it comes to dating.
During an episode of 'Khloe in Wonderland,' Disick revealed that he advises Mason to be honest in his relationships. “I always tell him, ‘You can do whatever you want, but don’t lie and don’t manipulate anyone,’” Disick shared. He recalled hearing Mason on the phone, reassuring a girl, “We can, but we’re just friends,” which he saw as a sign that his son was handling things maturely.
Disick also touched on discussing alcohol with Mason, given his own well-documented struggles with substance abuse. “I explain to him how drinking affected my life and the difficult situations it put me in. He understands that, and we have these conversations regularly,” he shared.
Mason officially joined Instagram in May 2024, quickly amassing hundreds of thousands of followers. His presence on social media was a big moment for his family with his aunt Kim Kardashian commenting, “You’re really on Instagram,” and Khloe Kardashian reacting with surprise, saying, “I can’t believe this is happening. He’s a real teenager now.”
Previously, Mason had attempted to create social media accounts without his parents’ permission. In 2020, he secretly made an Instagram profile, which was later deleted by his parents. He also had a TikTok account that was disabled for violating the platform’s minimum age requirement when he was only 10 years old.
Kourtney has been vocal about her concerns regarding children on social media, emphasizing how online negativity can impact mental health. Speaking to Vogue Paris in 2021, she revealed, “What kids post today stays online forever. That’s why I’ve been so cautious about allowing my children to be on social media too soon.”
She also addressed how the COVID-19 quarantine period was particularly challenging for kids in terms of social interaction. “For me, it was an amazing time for bonding, but I saw how hard it was for them to be away from friends and normal activities,” she said.
The recent rumors surrounding Mason Disick have highlighted the dark side of social media, where misinformation can spread rapidly and affect even young teenagers. While the Kardashian family is no stranger to public scrutiny, this situation struck a nerve with Kourtney, who felt compelled to defend her son from harmful speculation.
By setting the record straight, Kourtney has once again demonstrated her protective nature as a mother, proving that while fame may come with its challenges, her priority remains the well-being of her children.
