Lizzo, full name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, is a famous pop star who has recently undergone a drastic change and transformation regarding her weight. The singer went live on an online social media platform and recently shared how she managed to lose 16 percent of her body fat!
Lizzo and her fat loss journey
In the live, Lizzo shared that her extreme weight transformation made her lose approximately 16% of her body fat and how it was mainly through a calorie deficit system. She also added on enthusiastically that cutting back on Starbucks also helped.
The ‘About Damn Time’ singer shared that she was recently made aware of how a few cups of processed beverages can add on at least 1200 calories to her diet intake on a daily basis, as per the New York Post.
Following her weight loss journey, many speculated that the singer was using the oh-so-famous unofficial weight-loss medication Ozempic; however, she slashed the rumors down. She shared that to lose weight, she completely took out coffee from her diet and instead opted to consume “super savory” food items to start her day off.
The singer also shared that she balanced her diet better, sharing, “I do something sweet. It's got to be with some sort of carb. I'll have, like, almond butter and toast.”
While talking to fans, the ‘Good as Hell’ singer also said that “everybody's body is different; find out what works for you.” She continued, sharing how the only diet that “works across the board, science-wise, is calories in versus calories out. That’s just how the human body works.”
Praising the calorie deficit system, Lizzo called it a “tool to fight against the American food system.”
Meditation also worked with stress management
Lizzo also shared that she focused on meditation as well to calm herself down and to keep her away from any unwanted distractions. She shared that “And I meditated. I calmed myself down. And I isolated a little bit — but not, like, made myself lonely, not the way I used to when I was depressed. I isolated myself in a mindful way where I had no distractions.”
