14-year-old girl rescued from SP MLA's home

VARANASI: Police and labour enforcement department rescued a 14-year-old girl engaged in child labour from Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg's house in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi on Tuesday, a day after a 17-year-old domestic help allegedly died by suicide at his house.
The girl underwent a medical examination, and will be rehabilitated, Bhadohi child welfare committee (CWC) chairman PC Upadhyaya said on Wednesday.
Legal action would be initiated against the SP legislator based on the outcome of the ongoing investigation, said Bhadohi CO Ajay Chauhan.
