27 year old techie killed while overtaking bus in Chennai

In Chennai, a 27-year-old software engineer, M Mathiazhagan, tragically died after his motorcycle was caught under a TNSTC bus near Tambaram. The accident occurred as Mathiazhagan attempted to overtake the bus on his way home from work. Police have arrested the 59-year-old bus driver, L Loganathan, and are investigating the incident.

CHENNAI: A 27-year-old software engineer, M Mathiazhagan, was crushed by a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus near Tambaram when he attempted to overtake the bus on his high-end motorcycle on Friday night.
Police said Mathiazhagan, a native of Trichy, was residing in Guduvancherry and worked for a software firm in Chennai.
On Friday night, as he was returning from work, he attempted to overtake a Chennai-Puducherry TNSTC bus near the Irumbuliyur signal. Police said Mathiazhagan moved too close to the front wheels of the bus resulting in his motorcycle getting trapped under the rear wheels of the bus, killing him instantly.
The Chromepet Traffic Investigation Wing sent his body to Chromepet Govt Hospital for postmortem.
Police arrested L Loganathan, the 59-year-old driver of the TNSTC bus.
