Kim Seon Ho, Cha Seung Won and more unveil intense characters from action drama 'The Tyrant'

The upcoming action-packed drama ‘The Tyrant’ offers a glimpse into its exciting storyline and intriguing characters portrayed by Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Jo Yoon Soo. ‘The Tyrant’ is a chase action drama that kicks into high gear when the final sample from a furtive program known as the ‘Tyrant Program’ goes missing due to a delivery mishap, leading to a tireless hunt among individuals driven by conflicting motives.
Helmed by the director Park Hoon Jung, renowned for his masterful works like ‘New World’ and ‘The Witch’ movie series, ‘The Tyrant’ initially began as a film project. However, as production unfolded, the decision was made to transform it into a four-part series, allowing for a more comprehensive exploration of its storyline, dynamic characters, and progressive narrative arc.
Leading the charge is Cha Seung Won, who steps into the role of Im Sang, a seasoned former agent tasked with dismantling the forces entangled with the Tyrant Program. Meanwhile, Kim Seon Ho injects an air of mystery as Director Choi, a shadowy figure with ties to a government agency and the stealthy mastermind behind the Tyrant Program.
Kim Kang Woo portrays Paul, a member of an overseas intelligence agency driven by a singular mission to eradicate the last sample of the Tyrant Program. Rounding out the cast is newcomer Jo Yoon Soo, who breathes life into the character of Ja Kyung, a skilled engineer entrusted with the daring task of securing the final sample from the clutches of the Tyrant Program. The debut of the series 'The Tyrant' is scheduled for the latter half of 2024.
