To mark the commencement of Shardiya Navratri on October 15, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Legislative Assembly speaker Gian Chand Gupta made a special visit to the Mata Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula, Haryana. They participated in a 'Havan' ceremony and offered their prayers to the goddess. The nine-day Navratri festival venerates Goddess Durga and her nine divine manifestations, with the first day devoted to Mata Shailputri, who is believed to be born to King Himalaya as Shailputri after Goddess Sati's self-immolation. This festival holds great significance for Hindus across the country and is celebrated with immense enthusiasm.
