Magic Johnson expressed his disappointment after the Los Angeles Lakers' 116-113 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, despite Luka Doncic's 38 points. Anthony Edwards' impressive 43-point performance secured the win for Minnesota. LeBron James contributed 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Lakers, while Rui Hachimura added 23 points.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson did not hold anything back after the Los Angeles Lakers faced a devastating 116-113 defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers were ahead of the curve but later failed to continue their rhythm as the game progressed. Johnson, who has been constantly monitoring the NBA playoff games, was devastated seeing his beloved team loss despite controlling most of the second half.

Magic Johnson condemns Los Angeles Lakers’ efforts in Game 4 loss to Minnesota Timberwolves


Los Angeles Lakers’ Luka Doncic gave an explosive performance scoring 38 points but it was not enough to secure the win as Anthony Edwards saved his team with a robust 43 point showdown.
Following the game, Magic Johnson did not hold back. Taking to his X, the NBA Hall of Famer shared his frustration following the loss at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
“I’m just sick to my stomach that the Lakers lost this game after being in control most of the 2nd half.🤦🏿‍♂️,” Johnson wrote on the platform.

LeBron James logged 46 minutes and finishing with 27 points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists.
Rui Hachimura had one of his best outings, stepping up with 23 points on 56.3% shooting. He was particularly effective from deep, drilling 5 of his 10 three-point attempts. Hachimura also added 5 rebounds and a steal-free, turnover-free performance in 41 minutes of action.
Austin Reaves poured in 17 points, sinking five three-pointers of his own, and chipped in 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Luka Doncic continued to be a force. He scored a game-high 38 points while hitting 5 threes and going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.
On the other side of the game, Anthony Edwards was the clear standout, putting on a dominant performance with 43 points on 52.2% shooting. He knocked down five three-pointers and went 14-for-17 from the free-throw line, showing off his aggressiveness and shot-making ability. Edwards also grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, playing a massive 44 minutes and finishing with a +3 plus-minus.
Julius Randle delivered strong support with 25 points while also adding 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
Jaden McDaniels recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. McDaniels also added 3 assists and a steal.
Off the bench, Naz Reid gave a solid spark, contributing 12 points on 57.1% shooting and connecting on two threes.
While Johnson was clearly disheartened, NBA analyst Skip Bayless was optimistic about the Lakers’ future games.

“This game is OVER. Lakers just want it more than the TWolves do. Lakers are just a little better. TWolves are happy to go back to LA 2-all. Lakers will win Game 5 pretty easily. Then we'll see if Ant Man feels like going back to LA for a Game 7,” Bayless wrote on X.
