After so much anticipation, the Gears of War franchise is back as Gears of War: Reloaded. This game will serve as the remastered version of the original title. There have been many rumors that Microsoft is reportedly working on a Gears of War collection.
And it seems this upcoming title is going to be the first representative of that collection. However, there are also claims that those rumors regarding a ‘collection’ are actually false as Reloaded is a single stand-alone title. This game is going to be released on all the major platforms, but will Nintendo fans get their hands on this highly anticipated title?
Gears of War Reloaded: Is it coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2?
Gears of War Reloaded is going to be released on August 26 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. This exciting news might also disappoint OG Xbox fans as one of the most popular Xbox-exclusive titles is also landing on their rival platforms as well, that too on the same day. But what about the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?
As of now, there has been no confirmation by The Coalition if the game is coming to those two popular Nintendo hybrid consoles. The announcement only mentioned three platforms, where Nintendo didn’t get a place. So, as of now, Gears of War Reloaded is not available on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
It’s actually pretty astonishing to see Coalition skipping Nintendo at the first hour, which would have made the sales figure skyhigh, keeping in mind the anticipation regarding Switch 2’s June 5 release date. It’s quite understandable to see the developers omitting Switch, but Switch 2 would have been a brilliant option for Switch 2.
We even don’t know
if GTA 6 will ever grace the upcoming hybrid console, but Cyberpunk 2077 is already slated to be launched on Switch 2. Cyberpunk 2077 is already a hugely graphics-demanding title, so running Gears of War Reloaded shouldn’t be a big problem for Switch 2.
Yeah, it’s true that Reloaded will be a huge leap from its base game in terms of resolutions, shadows, reflections, dynamic ranges, and many more. But Switch 2 is also coming with its own upgrades like enhanced DLSS, custom NVIDIA GPU, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and many more. So, we can have our fingers crossed for Gears of War Reloaded to be available on at least Switch 2, if not on the Switch.
