Apoorva Lakhia saves David Dhawan's life

The presence of mind of Apoorva Lakhia, the director of Charan's Zanjeer, has saved the life of renowned Bollywood filmmaker David Dhawan.
David Dhawan, a diabetic patient, took insulin injection before attending the wedding reception of Bunty Walia (one of the producer's of Zanjeer), but forgot to consume a compulsory sweet thereafter. As his stomach was empty for nearly four hours, Dhawan started shivering and collapsed at the reception.The guests present at the venue had no clue how to react and what to do!
Immediately, Apoorva Lakhia stepped into action and rushed him to Lilavati Hospital before feeding him some chocolates. Doctors who treated him conveyed that the patient was brought in time, else his life would have been in danger.
David Dhawan thanked Lakhia for his life saving gesture. "Apoorva was wonderful. My family and I can't thank him enough for what he did," reacts the senior filmmaker.
