Director Vasant Sai, who is known for his dramas on human relationships, like Rhythm, has been travelling across the country thanks to his new film, Sivanranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum, winning laurels at film festivals. The female-centric film, which stars Parvathy, Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli, and Kalieswari Sreenivasan in the lead roles, is an anthology of stories written by noted writers like Asokamithran, Jeyamohan and Adhavan.
Karunakaran, Sunder Ramu, Karthick Krishna and Marimuthu will be seen in crucial supporting roles in this film, which doesn’t have a background score!
The film, which had premiered at the Mumbai International Film festival and was selected for the Kerala International Film Festival, was recently screened at the Pune film festival. As had been the case with the previous screenings, the reception to the film from the audiences was overwhelmingly positive. The audience gave a standing ovation to the film, we hear.
Now, the film has been selected for Sweden’s Gothenburg Film Festival.
