Prachi Tehlan is all set to broaden her horizons as an actor. The former sportsperson, who garnered immense acclaim for her roles in the television series 'Ikyawann' and the Malayalam blockbuster 'Mamangam,' is now embarking on her maiden venture in the Tamil film industry. The gorgeous actress is marking her debut in Kollywood with ‘Gentleman 2.’ Directed by A Gokul Krishna, ‘Gentleman 2’ is a sequel to the 1993 release, which featured Arjun and Madhubala in the lead roles.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Prachi Tehlan speaks about signing the project, her role, and much more.
"I was ecstatic when I received a call from the production company. They invited me to Chennai and immediately confirmed the role," Prachi Tehlan tells us.
Though ‘Gentleman 2’ is the sequel to the 1993 heist thriller, the actress divulges that the upcoming film won’t be a continuation of the story. “The film isn’t be a continuation, but prequel. It is a new story altogether. It's a commercial drama thriller.”
Prachi Tehlan, who is making a comeback after a hiatus, shares that she was waiting for substantial roles, and when ‘Gentleman 2’ came to her, she didn’t think twice. She took a break during the pandemic. “I have been briefed about the film and my role, but I can't reveal too many details at this point. But I can vouch that it's incredibly thrilling. This role is unlike any I've played before! It offers a significant scope for performance and also has a touch of glamour,” the actress shares.
Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani is also part of the crew, and Prachi Tehlan met him during the launch of the film. She reminisces, "Meeting him and personally extending my congratulations was a truly memorable moment for me. We had a brief conversation, and he comes across as a very quiet individual in that regard."

‘Gentleman 2’ has actors Suman, Priya Lal, and Nayanthara Chakravarthy in important roles.
“I can’t wait to join the team. The production house has bankrolled some of my all-time favourites. I have a deep admiration for the music they have created, including 'Mukkabla.' Being launched in Tamil by this production house is truly exciting for me. So, it's an experience I'm wholeheartedly looking forward to. Our primary filming locations will be Hyderabad and Chennai, and we also have a few schedules scheduled abroad," Prachi Tehlan remarks as she concludes.
