Ranjha Vikram Singh, who has featured in several regional and Hindi films, including ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Ya Rab’, is making the most of the lockdown period. He has been watching on-line videos on shadow boxing and learning it on his own.
Ranjha told us, “Boxing is one of the oldest and toughest sports and it is widely seen as the deepest form of expression. I have been inspired by the Rocky series since childhood.
I trained in boxing when I was in New Zealand and wanted to upgrade myself now that I have time on my hands. Since I am home, I checked on some tutorials on shadow boxing to understand how it can be done alone. I am learning the punches these days. I will take up lessons from a coach once this lockdown is over.”
On the work front, Ranjha finished shooting for his next Bollywood film, ‘Fauji Calling’. However, the release date has been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown. Talking about the film, he says, “We finished the shoot in January and had originally planned to release it in mid-April. But now, it will hit theatres after the lockdown. We are planning to release it 45 days after the cinemas open.”
