Freida Pinto joins the cast of Andy Serkis directed 'The Jungle Book'

For all the Freida fans who have been wondering why she won’t be hitting the coveted red carpet at Cannes this year, now have the answer and reason to celebrate.
Freida Pinto is all set to join the cast of The Jungle Book directed by Andy Serkis.

Says a source, "Freida has always been very clear and focused about her film choices and has chosen roles that are diverse and interesting. She has already worked with Andy once before and with him directing The Jungle Book, she was very keen on being part of his directorial venture.Freida has grown up reading the The Jungle Book. So, when she was presented with the opportunity to be part of the film, she was elated as it is part of her childhood."
The film, which goes on floors in a few days in South Africa, is jam packed with other stars including Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Andy Serkis and more.
