OFSS Bihar 11th admission 2025: Online application starts April 24
Bihar 11th admission 2025: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that the online application process for 11th-grade admissions in Bihar for the academic session 2025–27 begins today, April 24, 2025. Students aspiring to enrol in Class 11 in Arts, Science, or Commerce streams can apply through the Online Facilitation System (OFSS) portal. The application process will remain open until May 3, 2025. Applicants are advised to keep their documents—such as marksheets, photographs, and category certificates—ready for a smooth submission. Detailed guidelines and eligibility criteria have been made available on the official OFSS website to assist students and parents during the application process.
The BSEB’s decision to activate the OFSS platform comes after the release of the Bihar Board Matric and Inter results in March and April 2025. Students who have completed their 10th grade via the CBSE, ICSE, or Bihar Board are eligible to apply. They will need to visit the official OFSS website (ofssbihar.in) to fill out the application form, which can be done after the results of the CBSE and ICSE board exams are announced.
Application process details
To apply for admission, candidates must submit their application forms online through the OFSS portal. A key detail to note is the application fee. Students will need to pay a fee of Rs 350, which has increased by Rs 50 compared to previous years. The payment must be made for the application to be considered valid. Without the fee deposit, the application will not be accepted. This fee can be paid online through various payment options.

Do you think the application fee increase of Rs 50 is reasonable?

Once the online application period concludes on May 3, 2025, the BSEB will release the first merit list, which will be based on the students' marks and their respective reservation categories. A total of three merit lists will be published. If a student’s name does not appear in any of the three lists, they will have the opportunity for spot admission.
Merit list and selection process
The merit list will play a crucial role in determining the allocation of schools and colleges for the students. Schools and colleges will be assigned to candidates based on their performance in the merit list. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the 10th board exams.

What happens if you miss the merit list?
In case a student’s name does not appear in the three merit lists, they will still have the chance to secure admission through the spot admission process. This will provide a final opportunity for students to enrol in their desired courses.
Students can apply for admission at designated centres such as Vasudha Kendras, District Registration cum Counselling Centres, Cyber Cafes, or via personal laptops or computers. The application process is designed to be accessible and student-friendly to ensure a smooth admission experience.
