NEW DELHI: Kolli Abhishek, a young man from Gudivada in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district, was found dead in Princeton, Texas, after being reported missing on March 22. Abhishek had moved to the United States with hopes of building a better future.
He had been married for a year and was living with his wife in Phoenix, Arizona, before relocating to Princeton. However, he had been unemployed for the past six months and was struggling with financial problems, which may have added to his distress.
Family and community support
His sudden death has left his family heartbroken. To arrange his funeral and bring his body back to India, his brother, Aravind Kolli, launched a GoFundMe campaign.
The response was overwhelming, with more than $18,000 raised in just 10 hours. Many members of the Telugu community in the U.S. extended financial and emotional support to help the grieving family.
