State junior athletics meet in Eluru from Oct 15

Vijayawada: The AP state junior inter-district athletics championship for boys and girls _ U-14, U-16, U-18 and U-20 _ will be held at Alluri Sitaramaraju Stadium, Eluru from October 15 to 17. About 1500 athletes and officials will take part in this meet. State team for the National junior athletics meet to be held in Assam will be selected during this meet.
SAAP MD congrats NG medal winners
Dr N Prabhakar Reddy, SAAP, VC & MD, congratulated National Games medal winners Jyothi Yarraji, Jyothika Sri (athletics), Nilamraju Pallavi (weighlifting), A Sai Samhitha (roller skating). Jyothi won gold in 100m while Jyothika Sri (400m) and Nilamraju Pallavi (weightlifting 67kg) won silver and Akula Sai Samhitha bagged bronze in roller skating.
