Vijayawada: Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the future of the nation lies in the hands of the youth and urged them to seize various opportunities being provided by the govt. He encouraged the youth not to be satisfied with just securing jobs but aim to establish their own enterprises.
Speaking at the ‘V Launchpad 2025 - Startup Expo' held at VIT University in Amaravati on Monday, chief minister said that
Andhra Pradesh is being developed as an Innovation Valley, with Amaravati set to become the hub for a Quantum Valley.
Naidu said that they have already prepared plans to establish the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub in Amaravati and lay the foundation for a Quantum Valley, modeled on Silicon Valley. Naidu highlighted the presence of institutions like VIT and SRM in Amaravati, with more world-renowned universities set to arrive. He also urged VIT chancellor Viswanathan to adopt a few farmers who supported Amaravati's development.
Naidu stressed the importance of education in fostering knowledge and innovation. "While Telugu people constitute only 5% of India's population, they secure 20% of IIT seats," he said. "Telugu individuals are making their mark globally, from Silicon Valley to SpaceX, Google to Microsoft, and NASA to Wall Street," said Naidu. He said that he launched P4 initiative drawing inspiration from NTR's philosophy of treating society as a temple and people as gods. He said that the P4 initiative is aimed at uplifting the bottom 20% of economically disadvantaged families with support from the top 10%. He aims to eradicate poverty in Andhra Pradesh by 2029 and introduced WhatsApp governance to deliver 1,000 govt services directly to citizens, eliminating the need for tedious visits to govt offices.
Naidu outlined the goal of achieving a 15% annual growth rate to realize Swarnandhra by 2047, with a target per capita income of ₹55 lakh. He aligned this vision with PM Modi's Viksit Bharat 2047 plan, predicting India's rise to global leadership. Naidu also announced geo-tagging of every household to enable drone-based delivery of essentials during crises, ensuring resilience against disruptions.
Responding to VIT students' questions on Amaravati's development, new educational institutions, and IT/AI utilization, Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to advancing Andhra Pradesh in all sectors, eradicating poverty, and creating jobs for the youth. He cited NTR, Ambedkar, and Kalam as examples of individuals who rose from humble origins, urging students to excel through hard work and dedication. Naidu described politics as a path of service and cautioned against seeking overnight success, emphasizing that sustained effort leads to lasting achievements.
