VADODARA: MS University on Wednesday tried to put a lid over the controversy that had surfaced over the notice it had issued to principal of Experimental School to vacate the university quarter allotted to him.
The university’s construction division issued a fresh letter to the principal Shashikant Parmar asking him to consider its earlier notice as “null and void”.
The construction division had earlier issued a notice to Parmar asking him to vacate the university quarter allotted to him at Tara Baug within 15 days on the grounds that he is “not employee of the university”.
Parmar was appointed as principal of the school in 2012 and allotted the quarter in the same year. He was asked to vacate after a gap of five years.
Although MSU has withdrawn the earlier notice issued to Parmar, it is still not clear why the university issued such a notice in the first place.
The notice was issued at a time when MSU and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) were in middle of a bitter battle over the land of Experimental School which the corporation had sought from MSU.
