Ulhasnagar civic body cracks down on illegal billboards and hoardings, files cases against 11 people

ULHASNAGAR: Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) intensified the action against those who put up illegal billboards, hoardings, and banners in the city and registered a case against 11 people in different police stations.
The action was taken on the orders of Commissioner and Administrator of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Manisha Awhale, who started different actions against illegal activities at various places across the city as part of the initiative to make the city clean and beautiful.
Under this initiative, she informed her officials about the action against illegal billboards, hoardings, and banners in the city.
After Awhale's order, action was taken at a total of 13 places in all four wards of the city, and criminal cases were also registered against them in the local police station.
Out of 13 cases, 4 cases were registered in Ulhasnagar Police Station, 3 in Central Police Station, 4 in Vithalwadi Police Station, and 2 in Hill Line Police Station.
The municipal corporation officials appealed to the people, especially the political party leaders, that no one should put up illegal hoardings or banners anywhere in the city, or else legal action will be taken against them.
