School students await Surya Kiran’s display of aerial show tomorrow

School students await Surya Kiran’s display of aerial show tomorrow
Ranchi: Students are gearing up to witness the air show to be organised by the Indian Air Force on April 19 and 20 in the city.
The event, to be held at the Army Ground at Khojatoli in Namkum for the first time, will feature the renowned "Surya Kiran" Aerobatic team, a display of aerial stunts, advanced aircraft manoeuvres, and the valour of India's air warriors.
Several schools, including GD Goenka School, Manan Vidya School, St. Michael's School, Dayanand Arya School, and Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, have already made transportation arrangements to take their students to the venue. Students from Surendra Centenary School's NCC group will also attend the event.
Schools such as Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali, Kairali School, and various DAV institutions told the students to make their own arrangements if they wish to attend the show voluntarily.
According to a letter from the district superintendent of education, the air show will take place from 9:45 am to 10:45 am on both days, and schools have been urged to bring students by 9 am to ensure smooth entry and participation. The event aims to instil a sense of national pride and provide students with first-hand exposure to the discipline and excellence of the Indian Armed Forces.
Teachers have been asked to accompany students and supervise their visit, ensuring safety and smooth coordination throughout the event. The show is completely free of cost for all attendees.
Deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri in last two days formally invited chief minister Hemant Soren and governor Santosh Gangwar to the occasion.
Principal of GD Goenka, Sunil Kumar, said, "The Indian Army and Air Force, known worldwide for their valour and professionalism, will be showcasing their capabilities to the public of Ranchi, an experience expected to leave lasting impressions, especially on the young minds attending."
Shayambhavi Kumari, a Class VI student at DAV Gandhinagar, said, "I've only seen air shows on TV, and now I'll finally get to watch it live. I'm very excited."
Aditya Kumar, Class V student at Government Middle School, Kantatoli, said, "We will learn by witnessing the Indian Air Force in action. This air show is a big inspiration for students like me who want to serve the nation."
