Rajkot: A huge stock of IMFL worth Rs 48 lakh was seized from a farm in Jakhar village of Jamnagar’s Lalpur taluka. Late on Sunday night, a team of Meghpar police station raided the farm of Nathu Kanara, who fled along with another accused Khimraj Gadhvi, and seized 10,200 whiskey bottles.
Two people identified as Uday Raj Gadhvi and Rajesh Meghwar were arrested from the spot.
Investigating officer Y B Rana said Khimraj had taken Kanara’s farm on rent to unload the liquor consignment which was in high demand due to the upcoming
Holi festival.
The total seizure along with liquor is valued at Rs 63 lakh with the police seizing a tractor trolley, a bike, one car and two mobile phones. TNN
