Emergency services and fire brigade personnel successfully evacuated around 30 residents from the premises. The blaze has now been contained.

DCP Crime Parthrajsinh Gohil stated, "The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with early indications pointing to a possible short circuit during renovation work in the lobby of the sixth floor."
The Atlantis building houses several prominent individuals, including well-known jewellers, medical professionals, and property developers. Officials are working to identify the deceased, but sources indicate that the bodies are severely burnt, making identification difficult.
Assistant commissioner of police (South) B J Chaudhary confirmed, "The fire broke out between 9 to 10 in the morning on Friday. Three people are confirmed dead in this incident. The injured person is admitted to civil hospital and his condition is stable. The fire is under control and all other people are rescued."
