The Socialist Party (India) has decided to walk out of the 'Maharashtra Lokshahi Aghadi' as it was not consulted before taking the decision to join hands with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming general elections.

PUNE: The Socialist Party (India) has decided to walk out of the 'Maharashtra Lokshahi Aghadi' as it was not consulted before taking the decision to join hands with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming general elections.
Leaders of Socialist Party (India) on Saturday announced quitting the Aghadi, which was formed after various parties with socialist leanings came together.

The Socialist Party's decision is a set back for AAP's Pune candidate Subhash Ware who has been closely associated with the socialist movement for many years.
The party accused AAP of supporting capitalism and caste- ism at the panchayat level. tnnThe party cannot also support AAP which has no political base.
