Pune: Two pedestrians were critically injured after a PMPML bus hit them near the BRTS bus stop on Pune-Ahmednagar road around 1.45pm on October 14.
The injured, Raju Biswas (28) of Kalewadi and his sister Dnyaneshwari Ranpise (30) from Baramati, are recuperating at a private hospital.

Milind Pathak from the Airport police said, “The bus heading to Pune from Wagholi came on the Ahmednagar Road.
Biswas and his sister walked out from a mall and were crossing the road to reach the bus stop.”
Pathak said, “The driver lost control and hit the pedestrians. The duo hit an iron pole and suffered injuries to their heads, hands, legs and other parts.” “The driver told police that the pedestrians suddenly came in front of the bus. The victims’ father, Liyakat Ali Biswas (53) from Kalewadi, has lodged a complaint relating to rash driving under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act,” he said, adding that the bus was seized for RTO inspection.
