PUNE: The crime branch, Pune, claimed to have solved 39 house break-in and theft cases, including two ATM thefts, and recovered booty worth Rs 39.85 lakh, following the arrest of 10 suspects.
The arrested include Rafique Khan, Shekhar Kanadi, Ulhas Ghotral, Hemant Khandagle, Vishnu Sathe, Milind Sonawane, Nikhil Chavan, Rasbihari Das, Maqbul Shaikh and Ashok Bhagyawant.
The suspects confessed to having stolen two ATMs from Chikali and Chakan and committing a series of house break-ins and vehicle thefts at Bhosari, Chinchwad, Shahunagar, Nigdi, Akurdi, Talawade and Wakad. The police have recovered two ATM machines, five cars and two motorcycles from the suspects.
A team including inspector Mohan Vidhate, sub-inspector Jalindar Tandale and policemen Arun Surve, Shakir Jenadi, Javed Pathan, Ajay Mohite, Bhanudas Bhalerao, Vijay Kamble, Bharat Udhale, Ashok Gaikwad, Vivekanand Sapkale, Nagnath Lakade, Prabhat Kamble, Sanjay Wagh, Kaluram Renuse and Mohan Patil arrested the suspects.
