The weather in the city suddenly became pleasant around 11 am on Wednesday with a clear sky giving way to a cloudy one.

PATNA: The weather in the city suddenly became pleasant around 11 am on Wednesday with a clear sky giving way to a cloudy one. Incidentally, the change coincided with the timing of the declaration of the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) results for Class X and XII. Though it did not rain much in Patna leaving many residents disappointed, ICSE examinees were not complaining as marks rained on them.
Sample this: Harshav Raj of Don Bosco Academy secured 98.2% marks in the Class X examination. He secured cent per cent marks in three subjects ��� mathematics, computer application and environmental education.
Those who stood second and third in the school were just a touch behind him. Abhishek Gaurav and Harsh Anurag secured 97.8% each while Amitosh Anand 97.6%.
Attributing his success to regular studies, Raj said, "Besides constant support of family members, teachers and friends too were of great help during the preparations for the board examination."
Class X students of St. Karen's High School also fared very well with school topper Rahul Raj's marks being 98%. Monojit Das (97%), Gaurav Kumar Pandey (96.8%) and Vivek Kumar (96.6%) stood second, third and fourth in the school merit list.
Shashi Shekhar Roy with 98% marks emerged as the school topper in International School. Sukriti Mehrotra with 96% stood second, and Anvita Mishra as well as Anuja Jha stood a joint third with 95% marks each. Forty of the 138 school students secured 90% and above marks.
At St. Joseph's Convent, Tanvi Ranjan topped the list by securing 97% marks followed by Namrata Shanker and Puja Shanker both of whom secured 96.6% marks. Swayam Prabha and Lavanya Tejaswini bagged the third position jointly with each securing 96.6% marks.
Shashank Raj of Rose Bud school topped with 97.2% marks followed by Prabhans and Abhik Mitra who got 95.2% and 94.8% marks respectively.
Shakti Ranjan of St. Paul's Academy stood first in the school merit list with 95% marks followed by Aakash Kumar and Prakash Kumar Gupta who secured 94% and 93.4% marks respectively.
St. Xavier's School recorded cent per cent results in Class X and Vivek Kumar with 95% marks was the topper. Shashank stood second with 94.3% marks followed by Aditya Shreshtakar and Danish Kamal who stood a joint third with each of them securing 94.1% marks.
At Red Carpet High School, 60 students, out of the total 103, secured 80% and above marks and the school topper Piyush got 93% marks.
Divyatmika of St. Paul's High School emerged as the school topper by securing 97.2% marks followed by Khushboo Rani, Rashmi Chandra and Adarsh who stood a joint second with 96.4% marks. Rahul Kumar and Sonal Kumar stood a joint third with 96.2% marks.
Piyush Kumar of Lohia Nagar Mt. Carmel High School got 94% marks followed by Nivedita Mishra (91%), Aadarsh Kumar and Krishna Mohan Mishra with both of them securing 90% marks.
Atul Shree bagged the first position at St. M G Public School and secured 95% marks. Gargi with 91.4% and Pooja Kumari with 89% were at the second and third position in the school merit list.
Meanwhile, city students who appeared for Plus 2 examination of ICSE too fared well. Amaan Elahi of Don Bosco Academy was the school topper in science stream by securing 94% marks. He was followed by Rayan Wasi and Aditya Ranjan who secured 92% and 91% marks respectively.
In commerce stream, Aayush Mukul was the school topper with 89% marks followed by Aditya Kumar Arya (88.25%) and Jonathan Cooper (88%).
St. Joseph's Convent's Yashi Sinha of commerce stream emerged the overall topper in +2 by securing 96.5% marks. Sahana Monazir of humanities stream got the second position by securing 95.5% and Surabhi Maheshwari of commerce stream came third with 95.2% marks. Naaz Yasmin from science stream got the fourth position in the school with 94.3% marks.
