Driver of police vehicle dies in accident

Begusarai: A 24-year-old police jeep driver, Nikhil Kumar, died when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Khamhar village under the Mufassil police station area in Begusarai on Friday. Nikhil was a private driver who had been driving police vehicles for Matihani police station in the district for the past two years. On Friday evening, while on his way to report for duty from his home, his motorcycle collided with a vehicle near Kankaul village on state highway 55 in Begusarai. He was rushed to the local sadar hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, SHO of Matihani police station, Nitesh Kumar, said.
