BJP to mobilise 3 crore Bihar migrants to boost NDA votes
Patna: The BJP is targeting around three crore Bihari migrants residing in other states, urging them to return and vote for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates in the assembly elections scheduled for Oct-Nov this year.To this end, the BJP convened a workshop on ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' at its Patna office on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by BJP national general secretaries Tarun Chugh and Dushyant Gautam, MPs, state spokespersons and other party officials to devise a strategy for the upcoming elections.BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal said the meeting focused on grassroots organisational structures, the concept of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat', and the party's election strategy. The BJP plans to connect with approximately three crore migrant Biharis across the country. A comprehensive database is being prepared to include not only ordinary migrants but also prominent people, businessmen and social media influencers. The party intends to involve them in Bihar's development and politics and will appeal to them to return home to vote in the state elections.
To facilitate this, the BJP has appointed party in-charges in 150 districts across India. Some of these officials will be sent to their respective areas to engage directly with Bihari migrants, build emotional ties, and motivate them to participate in the election process in Bihar.Jaiswal said, "More such meetings will take place in the coming weeks and months before the election is announced in Bihar."Tarun Chugh said, "‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' further strengthens the unity of the country. We will be great only when we are strong."Dushyant Gautam added, "The sense of discrimination in the policies and intentions of the previous governments has also been weakening the unity of the country. In the last 10 years, the new model of good governance in the country has ended every scope of discrimination. We have chosen the path of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'."Criticising the opposition, Jaiswal said, "The opposition camp is in depression over the unity in NDA. They are playing the same record and making personal attacks (on CM Nitish Kumar) because they don't have any issue to talk about."
