Bhojpuri actor Akshara faces summons for leaving stage show
Begusarai: A court of first class magistrate here has taken cognizance of a complaint against Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh for leaving the stage show midway.
The event was organised as part of Durga Puja celebrations in Oct 2023 at Singhia Nagma village in the neighbouring Samastipur district.
First class judicial magistrate, Om Prakash, on Saturday directed the court to issue summons to the actor in this regard.
One Shivesh Mishra, a resident of Aahiapur village under Mansoor chak police station area of Begusarai district, had filed a complaint against Akshara and his father Bipin Singh in this connection. In his complaint, Shivesh charged the actor with breaching professional obligation.
Shivesh's advocate Gopal Kumar on Sunday said his client would soon file the requisite documents to enable the court to issue the summons.
"During the stage show some people present there threw currency notes on Akshara, which left the actor fuming. Refusing to perform, she left the stage midway, despite the organisers assuring her full security. A sum of Rs 5 lakh had been paid to her for the show," he said.
