Future forward: New govt school in Noida to have robotics lab, garden too
Noida: The basic education department is set to enhance student learning with innovative facilities at its upcoming Rs 1.2 crore primary school building. The primary school, funded through CSR initiatives, will feature a robotics lab and a nutrition garden, promoting hands-on learning experiences.
As construction begins next month and the two-storey facility will be designed under the new education policy.

The move comes following complaints from teachers and students at the school, raising concerns about safety issues due to the poor condition of the school infrastructure.
"The structure will accommodate 300 students and feature modern facilities akin to those found in private institutions. The project is being supported through corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding. Bhumi Sanstha, one of the CSR partners, will contribute smart classrooms, a modular lab, furniture, and other essential amenities," said Rahul Pawar, basic education officer.
Due to the poor condition of the current school building, students are temporarily attending classes at a nearby upper primary school. The new building will have five classrooms (three on the ground floor and two upstairs), an office, a staff room, and smart teaching tools. It will also include a computer lab, a modern science and robotics lab, a play area (Bal Vatika), and a nutrition garden.
The design ensures accessibility for students with disabilities, featuring ramps, railings, and assistive learning tools. Specially trained teachers will also be hired to support inclusive education.
Pawar further added that the new building will provide better amenities, significantly improving the learning environment for local children and aligning public education with modern standards.
The renovated building of Primary School Gheja, which was completed in Nov last year, will be handed over to the education department this week.
