SB Jain Institute’s EmTech department hosts thrilling esports competition

Nagpur: Department of emerging technologies (EmTech) at SB Jain Institute of Technology, Management & Research (SBJITMR), Nagpur, hosted an electrifying ‘Free Fire Max Esports Tournamenton' Feb 22. Organised by Lets Game Now and Vichitra Esports, the event witnessed participation of 153 teams out of which 20 competitive teams entered the finals in an intense gaming showdown. The event was coordinated by Prof Ravi Asati and Prof Hrushikesh Panchabudhe. The competition showcased the strategic skills, teamwork, and reflexes of players as they navigated high-stakes battles in ‘Free Fire Max'.
Team Lord won the competition while Team JJK Hotel came second and third place went to Team VG ESP. The event was graced by principal SL Badjate, dean (engineering) MM Raghuwanshi, dean (student affairs) Yogesh Shinde, and HoD EmTech Hemant Turkar. They applauded the participants for their dedication and competitive spirit, highlighting the importance of esports and gaming technology in fostering teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital engagement.
With its commitment to bridging academics and digital innovation, SBJITMR's EmTech department continues to support emerging trends in gaming, technology, and esports, providing students with opportunities to explore new frontiers. The whole event was volunteered by Kartik Karadbhajane, Chirag Tarvekar, Ankush Gupta, Ayush Roy, Yash Virulkar, Kartik Kukde, Devanshu Dhoble, Aniruddh Nemade, Yash Tagde, students from EMTech department.
