Akot bizman murdered in abandoned factory, fin dispute suspected

Akola: Businessman Raman Chandak was found bludgeoned to death in an abandoned factory on Popatkhed Road on Tuesday. Police said Chandak was killed by a blow to the head with a heavy object. Akot rural police have detained a suspect named Gajanan and are interrogating him.
Chandak had been living at Geeta Nagar, Akola, with his family for the past few years and was in the automobile business. Sources said that he had been involved in financial disputes with certain individuals in recent times. It is suspected that while attempting to resolve these issues, he got into an argument which escalated, leading to his murder.
Police said the murder weapon has been recovered from the scene, and nature of the attack suggests it was a premeditated act. Akot ACP Anmol Mittal said, "A thorough investigation is underway."
