Madikeri: The 35th annual Rama Navami celebrations, spanning two days, were conducted with devotional fervour at Sri Kodanda Rama Temple in Mallikarjuna Nagar, Madikeri, under the organisation of Sri Kodanda Ramotsava Committee.
On Saturday, an evening religious and cultural procession commenced from Gandhi Maidan. The parade featured ‘chande', ‘Taiyam Kunita', and ‘tamate'. The procession went through the city before concluding at Sri Kodanda Rama Temple. Notable attendees included MLA AS Ponnanna and Madikeri MLA Manthar Gowda. Arudha Bharathi Swami from Ramohalli Sri Siddharood Mission Ashram attended the evening cultural function.
On Sunday, Tanthri Krishna Upadhyaya conducted various temple rituals. As part of the festivities, Kodagu Medical College organised a free health camp at the Sri Kodandarama Temple premises.
