Kageri: India emerging as an economic superpower

Mysuru: Speaker of the Karnataka legislative assembly Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri on Sunday said that India was well on its way to take its position on the global stage as an economic superpower. Kageri, participating in the 12th graduation day ceremony at the Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham in Mysuru, stressed the need for every last citizen to transform India into a superpower. Kageri said that people must shed their differences over colour, caste, and religion, to achieve this goal.
“Such fissures among ourselves will only weaken the country. India is currently the second most populous country in the world, and will soon become the nation with the highest population. People must come together and ensure India remains a united nation to ensure it turns into a superpower,” the assembly speaker said.
Kageri hailed the efforts of the Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham that is making efforts to ensure people receive not just academic, but spiritual education as well.
