MUMBAI: Police are waiting for the medical examination reports of the minor girl who was allegedly raped by a film director. The accused has been remanded to police custody for seven days.
The metropolitan magistrate's court on Monday sent Gautam Verma, a film director, to police custody till November 7. Verma allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl at a flat in Andheri on Saturday.

According to the police, the accused and the girl's family knew each other and lived in the same area.
The girl, therefore, accompanied the accused unsuspectingly to his nephew's flat when he invited her.
