MEERUT: The annual celebration of 'Nirvana-2025' was held on Wednesday at Vidya University in Meerut, featuring a spectacular musical evening. The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing performance by renowned Indian singer, lyricist, and composer Akhil Sachdeva, who captivated the audience during the Star Night.
Students thoroughly enjoyed his popular tracks, including 'Haan Main Galat' from Love Aaj Kal 2, 'Tera Ban Jaunga' from Kabir Singh, and 'Sunn Mere Humsafar' from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The crowd responded enthusiastically to his soulful renditions of Hansa Tu and the Punjabi romantic song Gall Sunn.
His heartfelt performances of Channa Ve, Saawre, Tere Mere Darmiyan, and Meri Aashiqui created an unforgettable experience. The celebration concluded with the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
The event was hosted by BJMC students Anmol Pahwa and Ishika Ranjan, BBA student Nandini Kaushik, and B.Ed. student Mansi Gaur. Highlighting the significance of student participation, Dr. Reema Varshney, Director of Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology, emphasized the balance between learning and entertainment. She said, "Through events like these, we always focus on helping our students hone their skills, which boosts their confidence."
Sharing her experience, Nandini Kaushik, told TOI, "Hosting such a big event for my university was an incredible achievement for me. It has instilled confidence in me and allowed my personality to shine in front of thousands of people."
