MEERUT: People in Meerut came together for a morning of energy and excitement as The Times of India (TOI), in collaboration with Shobhit University, hosted Happy Sunday, an event designed to inspire a healthier, happier lifestyle. The initiative promoted fitness, sustainability, and community bonding while encouraging the use of non-motorised transport.
The event transformed the usual Sunday routine into a celebration of movement and well-being. From yoga and Zumba to badminton and rope skipping, participants didn't just break a sweat—they embraced a lifestyle of health and positivity.
Adding to the enthusiasm, Happy Street was held at Shobhit University, where students—including international participants from Nigeria—joined in full spirit. The event kicked off with a calming yoga session, followed by dynamic dance performances and cultural showcases. Faculty members also took part, making it a true celebration of togetherness.
Prof Dr Devinder Narain, Senior Director, Shobhit University summed up the essence of the event: "Happiness and health go hand in hand. When we care for our well-being, we pave the way for a joyful and successful life. A big thank you to all who made Happy Hours a beacon of positivity and wellness!"
